Chinese Cuisine
The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.
Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.

Good food for the price. Customer service is okay, seems like staff stays in the kitchen, alot. Good portions for left overs. Egg flour soup is pretty good.

Unfortunately I was unable to finish my meal as I lost my appetite shortly after trying the first bite. I ordered the special number 14 which includes rice, general tso chicken and spring roll. The chicken was bland, sauce had a very thick and syrupy texture. The rice was cold and tasted of masa, not good at all. We ended up leaving after only a few bites as we were suddenly no longer hungry. I will not be returning ever.

I was shocked at the terrible quality & taste of all their food. Egg flower soup was extremely thick with no flavor. Fried rice tasted like play dough with hints of cornstarch. Pork ribs were so disgusting I only took one bite. I ordered crab cakes but received "crab-wontons" that had less than a teaspoon of cream cheese and literally no crab. My husband ordered orange chicken and it tasted like the chicken had gone bad. I tried it and spit it out immediately. I've never sent back food, but did here. I will never eat here again and I recommend you don't either. If you're interested in Asian cuisine in Cottage Grove. Try the Thai place, Chalem.

My son loved the noodles! That's not a good thing- he is 2 and has no taste. My 6 yr old enjoyed the won ton soup with BBQ pork...(he was starving) My shrimp veggie soup was thick and bland- but they brought me a ton of hot sauce to cover it up! Our dumplings came out after our main course, and they were greasy and soggy (I didn't know that texture was possible!) but my husband said the sweet and sour chicken is what you'd expect anywhere- so if that's your thing , more power to ya. The fried rice was terrible. Fo realz - terrible. It was more like 'leftover bland rice' like 'eh, these customers didn't eat the rice- put it back in the pot' my husband says 'it was more like maybe they put a little soy sauce into a plastic bag with some rice and microwaved it' maybe I'm being unfair because I just spent $40 on dinner and I'm still hangry...

The food here is decent for the price you pay. Their soup is good and their sweet and sour sauce is excellent. It is not your normal red sweet and sour sauce. The building and decor is old and could use an update. Service is good.

This place is not a good idea. I have given it three different chances while living in the Cottage Grove area. I am not sure what part of China these folks are from. But apparently they enjoy corn starch and corn syrup as their main ingredients. The egg drop soup that comes with the meal, is gelatinous and overly sweet. The rice is not washed and lacks texture (very much like minute rice). And the main dishes lack authenticity and creativity. I am pretty sure the Chinese cook at Safeway puts more effort into his countries food. I think the orange chicken dish served across town at the Thai place, blows this places away. Even the fortune cookie was bad, probably from the 80's. Thumbs down. If you really want to go back in time, check out the lounge.

I eat here fairly often. It's better than most "Chinese" options in the area, and it's close. The people that run the place sure are nice. If you have realistic expectations about the areas Chinese options, you might be pleasantly surprised.

I love Mother's Chicken. My favorite part of this restaurant is the attached lounge. They have such great weekly events like Rock Band on Thursday and live DJs!

It's decent Chinese food for the grove. Not what I was craving after coming back from China, but not bad either.

My family and I have visited Cottage Grove twice (once as we were on our way to WA and this current time as we are heading back home to CA). The first visit we ordered dinner to-go and ate it in our hotel room. This second time we ate lunch at the restaurant. Szechuan Chinese has a pretty good menu and the service is on spot! Frankly, my family and I like it so much we went there twice! I liked the Mar Far Chicken. If I had to make a suggestion, I wish they could add a non-crispy noodle option that could be added to their lunch/dinner combination platters. The Won Ton (bowl) soup that my father ordered looked so finger-licking good that I had to have a spoonful and, boy, was it good! This is a good local restaurant and hope to see it the next time we pass by! Don't believe me? Ask the dishes!

Don't go! My husband got food poisoning there! Since, delivery people have said the kitchen is disgusting.
